Why no articles about players from the former Czech republic?
Hi! Does anybody have an idea why there are almost no articles about players from the former Czech republic on Wikipedia (not just the English one)? The national team was a 12-time medalist at Eurobasket competitions, but the Category:Czechoslovak basketball players contains just six articles, and all the stars are missing. There's no Ji?í Zídek sr., no Ji?í Zední?ek, no Kamil Brabenec, no Franti?ek Konvi?ka, no Ivan Mrázek, no Stanislav Kropilák (at least, there's an article about him on the Slovak Wikipedia), and these are just some of the most important ones among many others. I mean, to a lesser degree this also applies to other players from that period, but it's just striking that a whole nation which was a major basketball power in Europe for decades isn't represented here at all. --Axolotl Nr.733 (talk) 16:27, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Status report from the Portals WikiProject
Wikipedia:WikiProject Portals is back!
The project was rebooted and completely overhauled on April 17th, 2018.
Its goals are to revitalize the entire portal system, make building and maintaining portals easier, and design the portals of the future.
As of April 29th, membership is at 56 editors, and growing.
There are design initiatives for revitalizing the portals system as a whole, and for each component of portals.
Tools are provided for building and maintaining portals, including automated portals that update themselves in various ways.
And, if you are bored and would like something to occupy your mind, we have a wonderful task list.
